EICR and Emergency lighting
An electrical installation condition report (EICR) is a report not a certificate. It relates to an assessment of the in-service condition of an electrical installation against the requirements of the issue of BS 7671 current at the time of the inspection. An EICR differs greatly from PAT Testing and Fixed Appliance Testing because it is an in-depth inspection on the internal wiring of the building not appliances. The results and measurements and values taken during the testing are clearly recorded in a report and appropriate recommendations are made for any damage, deterioration or defects observed that could possibly cause danger to your premises.
Emergency lighting maintenance
A full maintenance of your emergency lighting should be carried out annually for a three hour duration test and compliance to BS5266.
